Spotta Smart Pest Systems signs UK and US distribution agreements
Spotta Smart Pest Systems has signed three new distribution agreements in the UK and the US.
Newmarket Road, which provides technology to help control pests for the accommodation, forestry and agriculture industries, has entered into agreements with Pest-End Exterminators and Colorado Tri-Flo Systems at United States, and Amicus Environmental Services in the United Kingdom.
The agreements cover its monitoring solution for hotels, hostels, student residences, nursing homes and other multi-room accommodation businesses.
Spotta Bed Pods have a 94.2% success rate in detecting bed bugs. The solution uses an odorless pheromone decoy to attract parasites and computer vision to detect and classify them. A dedicated communication network then alerts management to the presence of pests, allowing them to act before a large-scale infestation takes hold.
Hardware to install and forget resulted in the company being highly recommended in the Clean Tech Company of the Year category at Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Prize.
Pest-End, which works with residential and commercial properties in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine, will integrate Spotta into its integrated pest control solution.
Colorado Tri-Flo will offer Spotta’s permanent monitoring technology as well as its own industrial heaters for pest treatment.
And Amicus Environmental Services will use Spotta’s pods as part of its focus on technology solutions for the pest control market.
Resellers must also assist customers in their regions with installation and maintenance, training and ongoing customer support.
Robert Fryers, CEO of Spotta, said: “Each partner company shares our belief that technology can help the pest management industry work more proactively. Surveillance leads to early detection, and early detection of pests leads to more effective treatment and the possibility of reducing pesticide use.
“Whether it’s the combination of our monitoring system with heat treatments from Colorado Tri-Flo, the support of industry leader Pest-End, or Amicus’ forward thinking vision, every partner improves our offer. We look forward to working with them to bring a technological revolution to the global pest management industry.
Spotta’s smart systems are designed to reduce the use of pesticides and minimize damage from pests.
