There’s still time to vote for your Outer Banks favorites at the 2021 Coastland Gold People’s Choice Awards – The Coastland Times

Voting is open until 11:59 p.m. on October 13 for the inaugural Coastland Gold 2021 People’s Choice Awards, a new way to recognize the businesses, people and places that make the Outer Banks and the surrounding area so special, presented by The Coastland Times.
Participants can go to thecoastlandtimes.com/coastland-gold-2021-peoples-choice-awards/ to vote for their favorites by choosing from six groups of categories: Activities, Kitchen, Home, People, Shops and Services.
In the Activities group, categories include beach access, camping, rental boat, fishing pier, karaoke, marina, putt putt, yoga studio, and many more.
The Cuisine group includes categories for barbecue, brasserie, coffee, ice cream / frozen yogurt, international cuisine, pasta, pizza, seafood restaurant, steaks, tacos, wings and many others.
In the Home group, attendees will find categories such as Appliances, Building Supply Store, Contractor, Electrical Services, Flooring, Furniture Store, Handyman Services, Housekeeping, HVAC Business, Mattress Store, Lender mortgage, pest control services, real estate agency and many more. The People group includes categories for Favorite Accountant, Banker, Insurance Agent, Local Artist, School Teacher, Vet, and more.
Within the retail group, categories include antique shops, car dealers, beach supply stores, bookstores, boutiques, fishing supply stores, jewelry stores, new businesses, surf shops / skate as well as many others.
In the Services category, participants can designate their favorites from categories such as Audiology, Banking, Boat builder, Dental office, Hairdressing salon, Insurance agency, Law firm, Nail salon, Pet groomer , Veterinary practice and many others.
Participants can vote in any or all of the categories to ensure their favorite businesses, people and places come first. In each category, the best voter will win and two other finalists will also be recognized.
For those who would prefer to record their votes on paper, the ballots will be available in this weekend’s print edition of the Coastland Times.
